Pilanesberg Game Lodges / National Park (South Africa)

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

The Pilanesberg in South Africa is a natural ecosystem that has developed over hundreds of thousands of years. The Pilanesberg exists within the transition zone between the dry Kalahari and wetter Lowveld vegetation, commonly referred to as “Bushveld”. Unlike any other park, unique overlaps of mammals, birds and vegetation exist in the Pilanesberg National Park because of this transition zone.

Springbok, brown hyaena, red-eyed bulbul and camel-thorn acacia trees usually seen in dry areas, are found cohabiting with black-eyed Bblbul, impala and Cape Chestnut trees.

The Pilanesberg National Park features several game lodges from where guests can enjoy the untamed African bush in the comfort of exclusive accommodation.
