Quite often you find destinations that claim to be family friendly, however when you get there – there are many rules as to how old the children have to be to be able to do certain activities, when they’re allowed to eat, where they can eat etc.
Well at the River Bend Game Lodge, Eastern Cape / South Africa, when we say that Children are welcome, we mean it.
Yes children – of ALL ages – are allowed on game drives. Yes, really! Where possible families are allocated their own game vehicle and guide (honeymooners or guests without children are allocated separate game vehicles)
Yes children are allowed to eat with their parents. We have many dining areas and we endeavour to accommodate all our guests for a great dining experience – no matter your age
Yes families are allocated family rooms – they have some inter-leading suites and these, when available, are allocated to families.
The staff is very family orientated – many staff members have children of their own... Baby-sitting services, story-telling, baking with the chef, mini-treatments in the Vitality Health Studio, story-telling, bug-hunts, special family game drives and more are offered...
Yes we have a great separate playroom for the little ones... Fully stocked with toys, games, books, plus an outdoor play-area.
Yes the perimeter of the lodge is fully fenced, making it a safe environment for children
Plus the new Long Hope Villa is an ideal exclusive-use family destination. Accommodating a maximum of 6 guests only. A real home-away-from-home safari villa!
