Addo Elephant National Park


Addo Elephant National Park is situated in a Malaria-Free area only an hours drive away from the coastal city of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape.

Various accommodation options are available to meet all your requirements.
Within in the main Addo section of the park, you will find Gorah Elephant Camp, offering 5 star luxury tented camps. Each thatched tent has its own private terrace giving panoramic views of the landscape. Comfortable king size beds ensure you have a peaceful nights sleep.

Riverbend Lodge is situated in the nyathi area of the Park and offers its guests 5 star luxury accommodation & a wellness centre. Conference facilities are also available.
All the suites are airconditioned and equipped with electronic safes,mini bar, satelite TV, and hairdryer. All suites are en-suite with bath and shower.

The Park offers a diverse range of game viewing, with over 450 elephants, Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.
Various options are available to you to view the park.
Guided game drives can be used by prior arrangement. Here you can choose to see the park at sunrise, during the day, at sunset as well as at night.
You are also able to take the self drive option and view the park at leisure from the comfort of you vehicle.
The park is well signposted and various watering holes are situated around the park.

A picnic and braai area is situated right at the main watering hole. What an experience to enjoy lunch while being entertained by the elephants while they play in the water.
Alternatively, enjoy lunch in the restaurant while old Hapoor watches over you. He was the legendary resident elephant of the park for 24 years.
