Camp Shawu, located in the Kruger National Park in South Africa, is named after the most famous African elephant, which roamed the valley here for sixty years. Situated in a 15,000 hectare private concession in South Africa's world-renowned Kruger National Park, this secluded camp accommodates 10 guests in 5 luxurious rooms. Each guest room features a private deck overlooking the Mpanamana Dam, allowing guests a privileged view of game in the wild.

Directions to Camp Shawu
By air
Fly to KMIA, (the nearest airport). Drive to the N4 through Malelane, stay on the N4 for about 40km until the left turn into Komatipoort. Drive through the town of Komatipoort towards Crocodile Bridge gate (8km). Once inside the Kruger National Park, travel for 4km and cross the Vurhami bridge. Turn right at the first Shishangeni Lodge sign board onto a gravel road. Turn right at the second sign board for Shishangeni Lodge (no entry sign). Drive for about another 10km. This road will take you straight to the lodge. Guests will be transferred from Shishangeni to the Shawu Camp.
By road
Drive through the town of Komatipoort towards Crocodile Bridge gate (8km). Once inside the Kruger National Park, travel for 4km and cross the Vurhami bridge. Turn right at the first Shishangeni Lodge sign board onto a gravel road. Turn right at the second sign board for Shishangeni Lodge (no entry sign). Drive for about another 10km. This road will take you straight to the lodge. Guests will be transferred from Shishangeni to Shawu Camp.
