 |
The Chief's Camp is a luxury bush camp located on Chief's Island in the Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana, Southern Africa. This game rich area is home to the wild dog, lion, cheetah and leopard. Since the introduction of white rhino into this area, this is the only place in Botswana where these rare animals can be seen in their natural environment. The Mombo Concession has the Big Five. Generally, the floodwaters infiltrate the area in June / July and remain for a period of 4 to 5 months.
Due to the Lodge's unique layout, guests have the unique chance to view game without even having to leave the Chief's Camp. Passing game can be observed from the comfort of the deck. Shaded from the heat of the day by a beautiful grove of jackalberry trees, the Chief's Camp is very remote and therefore very tranquil.
