A refreshing dip in the swimming pool awaits the traveller followed by a sumptuous meal which is a delicious, eclectic fusion of Western and African cuisine and delicacies. From the Lodge's cellar, guests have the chance to sample vintage wines and spirits. High teas are often served on the lawn under the shade of the trees.
The main public area of the Chobe Chilwero Lodge in Botswana includes a lounge and dining room, which are linked to outdoor viewing patios. The wine cellar is temperature controlled and is stocked with a large variety of the finest South African and European wines.

The lodge is accessible by road and air. Kasane has its own international airport, which is approximately 10 minutes away by road. Chobe Chilwero has a preferred air charter company which offers an excellent service linking most camps in the region including Baines' Camp, Chief's Camp & Stanley's Camp. Road transfers to the Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge are available to / from Zimbabwe and Zambia, which take approximately 1˝ hours.

The Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge is located in Botswana, Southern Africa, on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe Chilwero borders the Chobe National
Park, which is the second largest national park in Botswana covering an area of 10,566 km˛.
Chilwero can be translated as "place of high view" in the local language of Setswana. The lodge nestles above the Chobe River and offers unparalleled panoramic views across the islands and flood plains as far as Namibia. The Chobe National Park covers a diversity of landscapes ranging from riverine forests to floodplains and periodic marshlands. This particular region of Botswana is home to the largest concentration of
elephants in Africa, as well as an abundance of hippo, buffalo, antelope and lion.

Guests staying at the Chobe Chilwero Lodge will enjoy the elegantly appointed accommodation, the delicious gourmet meals which are complemented with fine wines as well as the unforgettable game drives. Travellers are welcome to relax in their luxurious thatched chalets, which feature ensuite, sunken handcrafted baths, indoor and outdoor showers, a terrace and a private garden, which is completed with a hammock overlooking the magnificent Chobe River.
The Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge features 15 bungalows, 6 king and 9 twin. Each bungalow measures 61 square metres and provides its own en-suite bathroom. Mosquito nets, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, hairdryer, minibar as well as an in-room safe are available to guests.
Facilities and Activities
The Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge offers a library, a curio shop as well as a communications centre. Although the lodge is situated in Botswana, it can easily be accessed from Zambia and the world famous Victoria Falls are within accessible distance. Guests can enjoy a day trip to visit the Falls which can be arranged.
Guests have the opportunity to enjoy thrilling guided game drives in open-sided 4x4 vehicles on which Africa's largest concentration of elephants, as well as hippos, buffalos, puku, antelope, lions and other creatures that gather on the banks of the Chobe River can be observed in their natural surroundings.
