The exclusive Emfuleni Game Lodge is situated in the 36 000 hectare Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Northern Province / Limpopo Province of South Africa. The Emfuleni Lodge offers a malaria-free bush experience amidst dramatically diverse landscapes and eco-systems that make up the Waterberg massif. The climate in the Welgevonden region is generally mild to warm and rarely displays the oppressive heat associated with the Lowveld.
The uniquely South African terrain where the Emfuleni Game Lodge is situated varies from open plains, to riverine marshlands, to towering crags and the prolific bird life is a "Birder’s" Paradise". A variety of game visits the Emfuleni game lodge on a regular basis, and sightings from the deck are common. In addition, the Welgevonden GameReserve boasts two Bushman painting sites, which are reached by a short walk from the road.

Each of five luxurious chalets at the Emfuleni Game Lodge is a private and secluded hideaway in a harmony of wood, slate, thatch and glass. The tranquil, classic interiors and perfect finishes allow the visitor to be at one with the sights, sounds and smells of the bush. After an exciting drive or interesting walk with an armed ranger, guests can relax by the pool with a book, or simply soak up some sun on the deck.
