The Safari Lodge opened in November 2008 featuring 50 bungalows, a restaurant, a bar as well as a swimming pool. Located on a hillock about 2 kilometers from the camp, the Etosha Safari Lodge affords magnificent views across tree-covered hills over the Etosha National Park. The lodge offers daily guided game drives into the Etosha National park for those guests who do not want to drive themselves. A minibus shuttle service between the accommodation facilities of the Gondwana Etosha Collection ( Etosha Safari Lodge and Etosha Safari Camp) and Windhoek is available to guests at an additional charge.

The Etosha Safari Camp is situated on the C 38 which is 10 kilometers south of the Andersson Gate of the Etosha National Park. The Safari Camp nestles between Outjo and Okaukuejo, Namibia. This unique camp features 50 twin-bedded 'chalets' which lie among mopane trees and provide a feeling of living in the lap of African nature. Each of the chalets at the Etosha Safari Camp are equipped with mosquito gauze and its own bathroom and small veranda.
Visitors to the Etosha National Park in Namibia have the opportunity to observe elephants taking a mud bath with their young, a group of zebras passing by on their way to the watering hole, herds of springbok in the savannah, a pair of lions lazing under a bush which provides for a memorable stay in Namibia. The 22,700 kmē national park is home to more than 110 different species of mammals and more than 230 species of birds. Its name is derived from the huge salt pan of a dried up lake (Etosha = large white place). Established in 1907, the Etosha National Park in Namibia is one of the oldest conservation areas in Africa.

Etosha National Park, Namibia
The Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's most popular Game Reserves. The Etosha Game park was declared a National Park in 1907 and covering an area of 22 270 square km, it is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and, surprisingly, one species of fish.
Etosha, which stands for "Great White Place", is dominated by a massive mineral pan. This pan is part of the Kalahari Basin, the floor of which was formed around 1000 million years ago. The Etosha Pan covers approximately 25% of the National Park. The pan was originally a lake fed by the Kunene River. However the course of the river changed thousands of years ago and the lake dried up. Today, the pan is a large dusty depression of salt and dusty clay which fills only if the rains are heavy and even then only holds water for a short time. This temporary water in the Etosha Pan attracts thousands of wading birds including impressive flocks of flamingos. The perennial springs along the edges of the Etosha Pan draw large concentrations of wildlife and birds.
The game viewing in the Etosha National Park is spectacular, the best time of the year being from May to September, which mark the cooler months in Namibia. Visitors to the Etosha Game Reserve can expect to see many buck species, elephant, giraffe, rhino and lions. The more fortunate travellers have the rare opportunity to observe leopard and cheetah.
