The African Spirit Safari Lodge, 12 km west of Mkuze, where you can expect to experience a beautiful blend of comfortable accommodation, exciting safari activities, tasty cuisine and warm homely hospitality, to ensure a memorable and relaxing stay.

The lodge is a traditional three-star safari lodge situated in the Zululand Rhino Nature Reserve in the Northern section of in Mkuze area, which is home to the fabled Big 5 of Africa. Accommodation at the African Spirit Safari Lodge is provided in both full-service and self-catering formats. Four full-service chalets are accommodating two guests each, each of which is decorated with a distinctive African flavour and with all the necessary amenities to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay.

African Spirit Lodge has two chalets that accommodate four and six people respectively, making them ideal for families. These two cottages are spacious and including lounge & dining areas, with kitchens and en-suite bathrooms. The 4-sleeper unit also has its private boma and barbeque area.

These rooms are equipped with satellite TV, and guests are welcome to bring their smart cards for full paid service. Please note that self-cater guests must provide all their meals. The lodge is in an endangered species reserve, covering some 24100 hectares of pristine bushveld. Recently proclaimed a nature reserve, the park earned international recognition when rhinoceros and lion were introduced, thus making it a Big 5 game reserve.

Aside from the wildlife-viewing activities at African Spirit, they will also arrange day-trips to these and other parks, as well as scuba diving at the southernmost coral reefs in the world which are in Sodwana Bay. All safari activities are undertaken under the supervision of a qualified ranger, whose in-depth knowledge will enlighten you regarding the biodiversity of the region and the necessity for its’ preservation.
