The Safari Lodge is beautifully located amongst boulders and age-old Tamboti trees, offering guests the utmost in luxury and hospitality. The lodge features the Main Lodge with 11 suites and a private camp which is called Little Madikwe Hills. It is home to the Presidential / Family Suite, accommodating 25 guests in total.

Accommodation is generous in every sense of the word – space, comfort, luxury, amenities and expansive views. The décor is classically African, with close attention to detail and a great blending of tones and textures to reflect the serenity of the surrounding landscape.

The suites each have a private wooden deck with a sparkling plunge pool, a fantastic space from which to watch the passing parade of wildlife visiting a nearby waterhole. The bathrooms are a special treat, a place where one can feel close to nature.

At the main Lodge, ten incredible glass-fronted suites complete with their decks and private plunge pools offer absolute privacy with expansive views of the bush. The subtle African-themed décor integrates natural elements with colours highlighting Africa's warmth.

The suites have been designed for complete relaxation and comfort, with fireplaces, under-floor heating, air-conditioning, outside showers, romantic bathrooms and concertina glass doors which allow guests to feel indeed at one with the environment. The main lodge does not take children under the age of 10.

The Little Madikwe Lodge offers a two-bedroom Presidential or Family Suite where guests are provided with their land rover and game ranger, as well as a personal butler to take care of the guests' every need. A well-stocked wine cellar, a gourmet kitchen with a private chef and entertainment centre complete the perfect stay.

Two new Standard Suites can also be reserved to form an entirely private camp, which accommodates up to eight guests. The lodge offers the ultimate in luxury and indulgence and ensures a holiday never to be forgotten.

The lodge's outstanding facilities allow safari guests to get comfortable and enjoy the magnificent bushveld surroundings. Since the library Internet connection is available for travellers who wish to stay in contact with the 'outside' world. The daily exercise routine allows guests to keep up their regular fitness program.

Airport transfers from and to Johannesburg to the Lodge as well as private charter flights can be booked with prior arrangements. Besides the guided safari drives, thrilling walking safaris are also available at the lodge whereby one can get to know the smaller creatures of the bushveld as well as the plants and trees.

Highlights are the thrilling early morning and late afternoon safari drives when wildlife observations are at its best. Travellers have the chance to admire the untamed wildlife in this malaria-free game reserve which is home to the "Big Five", namely lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant.

Safari drives are seldom disappointing as this Reserve is well-stocked with numerous species, of which the most sought after are the Big 5, cheetah and wild dog. Your guide and tracker team are well-versed in the reserve and its’ inhabitants and will go to great lengths to ensure that not only do you tick off much of your checklist but that you are also left with a greater understanding of and appreciation for the natural environment. It is also possible to request a private vehicle – although this is strictly subject to availability.
Children on Safari

Kids can participate in the Junior Rangers program, where they will learn all the different exciting aspects of the Bush through a range of fun exercises. The Junior Rangers enjoy a hands-on experience with touching elephant dung, looking at tracks, finding out HOW to track. Learning about termites while standing right next to a large termite mound etc. this is an exciting and educational experience for all ages. Child-minding services are also available on request.

• Suite 1 & 2: is next to the Main Lodge, views of the waterhole
• Suite 3 & 4: adjoining to each other and is ideal for families travelling with teenagers, both rooms have a view of the waterhole
• Suite 5: open-plan setting with elevated views and a great place for honeymooners
• Suite 6: Honeymoon Suite is on the hill with secluded pool set amongst the rocks and bush; the suite has an outside bath and shower
• Suite 7 & 8: on the mountain with panoramic views this suite is not suited for the physically challenged as it has steps & it is a distance from the main lodge
• Suite 9 & 10: next to the main lodge, close together and close to the watering hole; both suites are not suited for the physically challenged as they have a lot of steps.
