Nature guide experience:

Join the training team for a short lecture on tracks and signs of the wild. The Lodge's experienced trainers teach guests the skills needed to track and identify spoor which can be a useful ability when on safari in the Kruger National Park.

Community Tour:

Nkambeni Tented Lodge is a partnership between the Mhaule Rural Community and Private Capital. Guests have the opportunity to accompany the volunteers on a day tour of the Local Community and witness their contribution to Africa on a one to one basis. The Community Tour takes guests to the George Mhaule School where one can witness the feeding schemes and the nutrient drink production plant.

After a brief tour of the Community one may wish to take the opportunity of getting down and dirty by assisting in the Community Organic Farming Project. This project is a world first in concept and design and enjoys the direct support and participation of the South African Government.

The Nkambeni Tented Lodge is situated inside the game rich Kruger National Park, just 10 kilometres to the west of Pretoriuskop Rest Camp in South Africa. Guests visiting this region of South Africa are invited to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the untamed African nature.

Accommodation

At the Nkambeni Tented Lodge the main concern is the commitment to the preservation of the pristine wilderness areas surrounding the camp. The tented suites at Nkambeni are designed and constructed to guarantee minimum impact on the natural habitat. This is the reason why the suites have been built on wooden stilts. The accommodation at the Nkambeni Tented Lodge consists of 150 beautifully appointed luxury timber and canvas tented suites.

Each tented suite at Nkambeni features the following:

2 Bunk beds (fold out)
Bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower
Verandah with Jacuzzi.

No concrete and no foundations have been used during the construction of the tented suites at the Nkambeni Camp in the Kruger National Park. No damage has therefore been made to the nature. The construction at the Nkambeni Tented Lodge conforms to the highest standards of low impact eco-friendly criteria. Luxury and comfort are provided to guests staying at the Nkambeni Tented Lodge.

Tribal Dancing:

Guests are invited to feel the pulse of Africa. The full- time Marimba band offers guests Gumboot and traditional Shangaan dancing and drum beat evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.

Open vehicle game drives / safaris:

The lodge offers half and full day safaris in the Kruger National Park. The vehicles are designed to allow the passengers close interaction with the animals encountered. Guests are welcome to request a picnic lunch from the lodge's restaurant and enjoy this when the guide stops at one of the picnic sites in the Kruger National Park.
