Letlapa ('rock') lodge, situated in a valley with a perennial stream running through it. The lodge is linked by boardwalks and wheel-chair friendly paths.

Letlapala ('the place of the sun') lodge is aptly named: situated on one of the highest points of the reserve, it basks in both sunrise and sunset and has spectacular views over the valleys. The more intimate of the two lodges, Letlapala has four suites and one exclusive suite, all designed to blend into the environment while providing every comfort.

Dining Mealtimes are pleasurable experiences at Sediba where the chefs create mouth-watering masterpieces for our guests enjoyment. Guests are assured of personal service around the clock at the Sediba Private Game Lodge. Gourmet chefs prepare excellent cuisine and the wine cellar is stocked with exclusive vintage wines.

There are three meals served daily and high tea is served in the afternoon. Meals can be served in various locations such as the main decks, bomas or inside. Guests are welcome to eat their meals at either of the lodges by pre arranging this with their ranger. Private candle lit dinners in the suites can also be arranged.

Activities / Facilities A wildlife world of adventure awaits guests on game drives and bush walks, from Landrovers or in private hides. Guided by experienced, knowledgeable rangers, guests can view big game, such as elephant, lion and rhino or relish more intimate encounters with other fauna and flora.

Major game species have been reintroduced into the Welgevonden Private Nature Reserve. All these reintroduction projects have been a major success, tripling the game population in size over the past five years. Lions, elephants as well as white rhino, buffalo and special antelope species such as sable, roan, and gemsbok can be found here. Other animals include leopard, antelope, giraffe, warthog, bush pig, aardvark, pangolin and many more.

The black-backed jackals and the very rare brown hyena have also prospered in the conservancy.

Within Welgevonden, 270 bird species have been recorded. For those who love trees or simply enjoy scenery, Welgevonden's magical landscape has much to offer.
