Xaranna offers many different opportunities to enjoy the wilderness of the Okavango Delta, with a selection of game drives ( early morning, late afternoon/evening and night game drives), mokoro / canoe trips and bush walks.

The Xaranna Tented Camp's five distinct habitats within the magnificent Okavango Delta wilderness support an incredible diversity of wildlife:

Resident rare Pel's fishing owls
Semi-aquatic red lechwe antelope
Exceptional birdlife including numerous 'Okavango Specials'

XARANNA TENTED CAMP, OKAVANGO DELTA / BOTSWANA ACCOMMODATION

	The Xaranna Tented Camp overlooks a permanent lagoon of the Okavango Delta in 25 000 hectares of magnificent wilderness in Botswana, Southern Africa. The Xaranna Camp features breathtaking views of the water channel, which provides guests with a water and wilderness experience not to be forgotten. This particular region in Botswana is a paradise for birdwatchers and other wildlife enthusiast alike. With a bit of luck the elusive Pel's fishing owl can be spotted, while the semi-aquatic red lechwe and the seldom seen roan antelope are endemic to the area. Huge herds of buffalo are frequently encountered here on game drives. Guests are able to experience this unique combination of water and wildlife on twice-daily game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles, traditional canoe and powerboat excursions. Bush walks provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the surrounding areas and encounter animals on foot, while the night game drives provide a fascinating glimpse into the busy nocturnal activities of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Each safari tent opens onto an uninterrupted view of the channel and provides an outside shower, an indoor bath, a romantic sala and a private plunge pool. The private guest sitting area features a spacious games and reading room where guests are invited to relax in the tranquillity. An al fresco dining area ensures the perfect backdrop for all meals. Guests can choose to have their refreshments served while lounging on the cushions in the comfort of their own tent. Access to the Xaranna Tented Camp To reach Xaranna, guests can fly into the Xudum airstrip, which is a mere 20 minute flight from Maun, followed by a 45 minute game drive. Instead of the 45 minute game drive, guests can also enjoy a ride in the traditional canoe called mokoro or boat ride, depending on the water levels, to reach the Lodge .
