The Grassland Bushman Lodge is located on the western side of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve in the Ghanzi district of Botswana, Southern Africa. This game rich area is a private wildlife reserve of some 15 000 ha.
The Grassland Bushman Lodge can accommodate 16 guests and a special family suite is available for families wishing to stay at the unique bush getaway.
The main area of the lodge can be divided into three areas: a large lounge and dinning room in one building, a spacious covered bar area that also doubles up as a dinning area and an outside lounge which is adjacent to the swimming pool. From the comfort of chairs or from the swimming pool overlooking a waterhole, guests can observe a large variety of wildlife.
Accommodation at the Grassland Bushman Lodge
Accommodation at the Grassland Bushman Lodge is in comfortable en-suite chalets with shower, basin and wc. Electricity is provided during most parts of the day by means of a generator.
The Lodge can accommodate 16 guests in:
- 6 Standard Twin chalets (shower, WC, basin)
- 2 Standard Double chalets (shower, WC, basin)
- 1 Family chalet

Access to the Grassland Bushman Lodge
In close distance to the lodge is a private registered airstrip, which is serviced by all charter companies. Self-drive access is possible to the lodge, although a 4x4 vehicle is required to reach the lodge. Alternatively guests traveling in a sedan vehicle can be collected by the lodge staff in Ghanzi where secure parking is available and be transferred to the lodge.
The charter flight to the Grassland Bushman Lodge takes about 50 minutes from Maun.
