&Beyond Grumeti Serengeti tented camp with its 12 tents in the north-western part of the forgotten part of Tanzania.

With its vast grasslands and excellent wildlife sightings on the plains of Tanzania is home to over 36 species of antelope, as well as abundant birdlife.

The area is famous for the fantastic wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. In June and July every year, Africa migration passes through the Grumeti region. During the other months of the year, this part of the world provides spectacular wildlife viewing away from the crowds.

The plains attract cheetahs and immense pride of lion, as well as hyenas that can be seen in packs of hundreds. The riverside thickets of this area provide a home to the elephant and leopard.

Two tents are suitable for families which are connected by an enclosed walkway to allow easy access to the chalets while maintaining complete privacy and safety. Sophisticated yet rustic accommodation is provided with well equipped Safari Tents. With its natural colours and materials, the tents blend into the natural surroundings. Each of the ten tented suites offers shaded private decks which offer views onto the river and its resident hippo.

Delicious meals are enjoyed by Grumeti Camp guests on the large outdoor deck with beautiful views of the river. The camp's dining area opens up to the famous African boma, where dinner is served under the star-studded sky.

The open-fronted dining and sitting areas, as well as the domed bar, are all decorated with beaded artefacts. The spacious decks provided an ideal location from where sundowners can best be enjoyed overlooking the water as well as the rim-flow swimming pool.

Activities during a stay in the wildlife-rich Serengeti of East Africa revolves all-around admiring the magnificent wildlife. Guests embark on thrilling morning and afternoon game safaris through the untamed bushveld. Unforgettable hot air balloon safaris can also be enjoyed during which the Savannah can be explored from above.

Various airlines provide daily scheduled flights from the town of Arusha to the Airstrip. Once passengers land they are taken on a 5 to 10-minute drive to the Serengeti Tented Camp.
