The 705-hectare site borders the Mara Triangle offering 1.3 km of Rift Valley frontage, its forests and plenty of game directly. On the games drives, visitors have the chance to experience new hot air balloon flights, hiking safaris, educational visits to adjacent Maasai villages or just relax at the Angama lodge.
The beautiful Angama Mara with its timeless tented suites features a 12-metre broad full-length glass front with magnificent views. The roof and sides are canvas, and they have a romantic, safari atmosphere. Children six and up can stay with their parents at the lodge in an interlinking tent. These allow children to move freely between tents and their parents’ in complete privacy and safety.
Typical of pioneering African feel, the communal lodge areas become the outside and vice versa, making for a fantastic, nature bound setting. During the warm & sunny days, guests enjoy being outdoors on the deck for recreation, leisure & dining. The afternoon thunderstorms, guests can admire this natural spectacle in comfort and safety from behind the floor to ceiling glass doors.
Angama terrace is the shared area between the camps, features the fitness room with Technogym equipment, the large infinity pool is heated. The Safari Shop where Kenyan gifts items can be found as well as the cloakroom facilities for late checkouts.
Dining at Angama Mara is not only tasty it also reflects flavours of its majestic location. This camp provides remarkable choices of dining venues which include the deck and the private terraces at the guest's suites as well as picnics in the shade of a bushveld tree in the middle of nowhere.
The lodge the chefs serve traditional safari food using high quality and wholesome ingredients. The lodge is famous for its local produce which our free-range beef, green beans and seafood from the coast.
Vegetarian choices are available and dietary demands, and individual preferences are attended to if arranged before arrival. At the grand signature, family-style bush braai with chefs grilling succulent steaks, Prawns from the coast and Swahili-spiced Kuku in a forest close to the lodge, which is full of light radiating from beautiful lanterns.
The safari drives are tailor-made to suit guests personal choices in regards to time, durations and areas. Guests may depart the lodge at sunrise or after breakfast, descending private road and find themselves in the untamed wilderness 11-minutes surrounded by Africa's majestic wildlife. The vast plains with acacias are home to plentiful herds including the Big Five, lion, elephant, leopard, rhino & buffalo. Safaris are escorted in Angama Mara open wildlife viewing vehicles within the Mara Triangle, from sunrise to sunset.

Day 1, 2 & 3 On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by an Akagera Aviation representative and assisted with Customs & Immigration clearance. Depart on a private road transfer with Thousand Hills Africa to Bisate Lodge (approximately three hours’ drive) for a three-night stay.
Day 4 Private road transfer from Bisate to Kigali Serena Hotel. Enjoy a privately-guided tour of Kigali.
Our recommendation: Upgrade your access to/ from Bisate Lodge with an exciting one-way or return helicopter transfer utilising the Musanza airstrip – a 10-minute drive from Bisate Lodge.
Day 5, 6 & 7 Depart Rwanda on commercial scheduled flight to Kenya (costs not included). On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by a SwissPort representative who will assist with Customs & Immigration clearance. Private charter transfer from Nairobi to Angama Mara for a three-night stay.
Day 8, 9 & 10 Private charter flight from Angama Mara to Segera Retreat for a three-night stay.
Day 11 Private charter flight from Segera Retreat to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for onward travel arrangements.

In this instance, you will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred by Angama Mara to Hemingways Hotel for your overnight stay.

Bisate Lodge has dramatic views of the Bisoke and Karisimbi volcanic peaks rising through the forests of nearby Volcanoes National Park. It is within easy driving distance of Park Headquarters, from where once-in-a-lifetime gorilla treks depart daily. Exploring around Bisate includes community visits, birding, golden monkey tracking, tree-planting to help reforest the area, the Gorilla Guardian Village, the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, and Dian Fossey’s grave. Six opulent en-suite forest villas are each warmed by a central fireplace and have breathtaking views from their decks. The main area comprises a lounge, dining and bar area, wine cellar and viewing deck. Both the architecture and interior design are rooted in Rwandan cultural traditions. Its reforestation and rehabilitation project has each guest partnering with us in contributing to conservation and local community upliftment, with a positive impact on the iconic Critically Endangered mountain gorilla.
With a seat on the edge of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Angama Mara has views that stretch for miles across the Maasai Mara National Reserve below. Two separate camps comprise of just 15 luxurious tents fitted with glass frontage and wooden decks.
