Stunning panoramic views greet travellers at the Desert Homestead Lodge Sossusvlei, the gateway to the Namibian desert red sands within the seven-thousand-hectare nature reserve

Twelve individual houses feature the accommodation, giving guests an extra-special African private retreat. A ceiling fan and a mosquito net are provided for comfort.

The main house homes the cooling swimming-pool with sun-loungers, a lounge and restaurant all with views of the sands and surrounding mountains. Quietly sit in the sheltered area and watch as the cheetahs roam passed.
