The Etendeka Mountain Camp, at the foothills of the Grootberg massif, Namibia, is an eco-friendly rustic camp.

Added luxuries designed to enable you to experience the remote Kamanjab, Damaraland wilderness and to be at one with the magnificent scenery that will surround you.

The pathways lead you up to ten private, well-shaded en-suite Meru tents. Each fitted with a hot and cold eco-friendly bucket shower and comfortable beds.

Choose to explore the Grootberg in Damaraland on foot or by the 4x4 drive and expect to see the rugged terrain and wildlife that roams this spectacular mountainous terrain. Led by expert locals who know the area and the wildlife well and are keen to share their knowledge with you.

Opt to go for a romantic short self-guided sundowner walk’ by walking up the hill behind the camp to get a better idea of the spectacular setting and location of the camp.

After dinner, your host will invite you to a stargazing experience and will allow you to see details, such as the two of the moons of Jupiter and rings around Saturn, through the telescope (presuming the conditions are suitable) and will show you the various constellations along the Milky Way.

Guests from the Northern Hemisphere will be thrilled to see the Southern Cross and Sirius the brightest star in the earth's night sky. An experience that will make you think of Namibia each time you look up to the sky at night.
