The Gomoti Plains Camp is a collection of ten comfortable safari tents built upon a wooden decking platform peering over the Gomoti River, Okavango Delta in Botswana.
You will feel the African sun, relax to the sounds of the rippling river and experience the African wildlife with close-up encounters to remember forever. The area is famous for filming packs of wild dogs with Gomoti Plains a nearby 18 km south of Chitabe Camp.
The Ten luxury safari Gomoti tents, eight of which cater for two people, the other two are designed with the family in mind catering for four people. The décor of the rooms have been tastefully influenced by the Okavango Delta scenery.
Hot and cold running water will rejuvenate you with a choice of either an inside or outside shower. Flushing Toilets in the bathrooms alongside twin basins. The availability of electricity allows for lighting and charging batteries after a day of capturing many photographs.
A safari river motorboat will journey you along the tributaries of the river or choose to be led by a trained poler in a Mekora safari, (using a dugout canoe) within the shallow waters of the Okavango during the morning. (Day trips may be arranged upon request.)
Evening safaris with knowledgeable staff allow you to spot nocturnal creatures. If you'd prefer a more down to earth option, choose a walking safari and watch the animals play as the sun rises, all with the security of an armed guide.
Elephant, buffalo, lions, African wild cat, swallows and swifts, oxpeckers and bee-eaters all benefit from the river; as if it was a personal feeding station, allowing you to have an incredible opportunity to observe them closely.
