Jackalberry is named after the beautiful Jackalberry Tree, which occurs widely in the bushveld of the Limpopo Province. It is just one of the fascinating trees and shrubs which allow the bushveld to support such a wide variety of animal and insect life. The bushveld around the Game Lodge is home to a lot of wildlife. More than sixty species of animals are in the immediate vicinity, including lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant, hyena and cheetah.
This Safari Lodge provides guests with spectacular views, reasonable comfort, and tranquillity in the heart of the African bushveld. It is an ideal bush hideaway for families, friends and couples. Guests are served delicious and unforgettable bushveld dinners under the African sky.

Access to the Lodge
The five star Lodge is in the Thornybush Game Reserve on the edge of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. Scheduled daily flights to the Eastgate Airport (HDS)with South African Express Airways in pressurised turbine and jet aircraft's, which take approximately one hour from the OR Tambo Johannesburg International Airport, are available to guests.
The Eastgate Airport, is outside of Hoedspruit, is approximately 25 minutes by road from the Thornybush Game Reserve itself. Road transfers from the Eastgate Airport to the game reserve are available upon request. Furthermore, chartered flights can be arranged directly to the airstrip at the Lodge.
