The Jack's Camp is located on a prime spot on the edge of the magnificent Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana.

The ten, Bedouin-style tents at Jack's Camp nestle under a canopy of molokwane palms. Persian rugs on polished floors, beautifully draped walls and comfortable four-poster beds make for an extraordinary accommodation experience.

From the private verandas, one overlooks the arid landscape, where salt and sun-baked plains go as far as the eye can see. The bathrooms offer free-standing, copper bathtubs and wooden throne toilets.

The mess tent features maps, photos, vintage artefacts and manuscripts of the Bousfield family. An antique pool table, a library and bar are also available. Dining is completed by an outstanding selection of fine wines. This camp features the most unique swimming pool on the continent. Set in a tent, guests may enjoy the refreshing and cooling waters during the warm afternoons.

Exploring meerkats in their natural habitat is a must when visiting this area of Botswana. Guests have the chance to get up close and personal to groups of wild meerkats. Many other desert-adapted species can be admired during the safari drives and the walks with Bushmen. The swimming pool pavilion offers a relaxing swim to travellers.

During High/Dry Season which runs from 16th April – 31st October, thrilling quad bike safaris can be enjoyed. During the Green Season which runs from 1st January – 15th April and from 1st November – 31st December, travellers can witness the second largest migration of zebra and wildebeest in Africa.
