The Jao Camp is located in the Okavango Delta of Botswana. This luxury tented camp by Wilderness Safaris is a sophisticated retreat with unrivalled wildlife experiences.
This camp offers the ultimate water wildlife experience in the central region of the Okavango Delta. This luxurious safari camp is surrounded by islands fringed with magnificent riverine forests which meet the vast floodplains.
This tented safari camp in Botswana features eight tents which offer twin and king beds, double beds can be requested. The family tent offers two three quarter beds in each of the welcoming bedrooms. It consists of two bedrooms with their en-suite bathrooms. The second bedroom offers one vanity basin and no outside shower and bathtub.
The lodge's entertainment room offers a comfortable lounge and dining area where guests enjoy delicious meals. This area at the camp is the idea for private dining, as well as children's entertainment, to watch wildlife documentaries and conducting lectures.
A raised hide is situated 20 minutes away from the main camp which offers a wonderful location from which to admire the passing wildlife. The hide is also used for sleep-outs for a maximum of two people on a queen-size bed with a large mosquito net.
Due to its ideal position, the Jao's camp offers a wide variety of different activities which are both water and land experiences. One of the best ways to experience the Delta and its magnificent wildlife is by traditional mokoro which is a dugout canoe. In addition to these, the camp also offers glass-bottomed mekoro for an entirely out of this world experience.
Nestled under the African ebony trees overlooking the waterways, the Jao Health and Beauty Spa is a wonderful and relaxing retreat where guests find rest and rejuvenation. A full menu of spa and beauty therapies ranging from facials to manicures and a range of massage options are available to guests.

JAO CAMP VILLA INCLUSIONS
- Rates are base occupancy of four (4) guests, quoted per villa, per night. The villa can accommodate up to four adults, or a family group of up to six guests.
- A fifth and sixth guest (child) is charged in addition at the applicable standard Jao Camp per-person, per-night rate, inline with the camp’s child policy.
- Villa rates include the exclusive use of the villa and all standard Jao Camp inclusions, together with the private guide, vehicle, chef, and butler.

- Fully comprehensive personal travel insurance.
- JCCT fee
- JAO COMMUNITY & CONSERVATION TRUST (JCCT) FEE: A nightly CSR fee of USD 50 per person (6 years and older) applies and must be added to the accommodation rate.
