The Karen Blixen Camp is along the Mara River in the wildlife-rich Masai Mara of Kenya, East Africa.

Karen Blixen features sizeable luxury canvas tents, each of which has been placed to maximise privacy and the magnificent views along the Mara River. Each of the tents offers an en-suite bathroom and a large comfortable bed.

The tents can be made up to either accommodate double or twin occupancy. The family luxury tent consists of two tents that share a verandah. The water for showers is heated using solar panels and electricity is provided in all tents 24 hours a day by a solar panel system and a battery storing bank.

On the raised wooden deck, the restaurant, lounge, and bar, as well as the gift shop, can be found. Furnished with reproductions of Karen Blixen’s furniture create a cosy atmosphere in a romantic African safari style. The beautiful swimming pool in the garden offers a beautiful place for relaxation and refreshment during the daily wildlife activities.

Set in the pristine Mara North Conservancy in the wildlife-rich Masai Mara, guests may embark on adventurous safaris in one of the most densely populated natural wildlife areas worldwide. Guests are encouraged to explore and learn about the complexity of the ecosystem.

Safari drives are offered within the Mara North Conservancy, and on request as well as during the great migration the professional game rangers embark on safaris within the Masai Mara National Reserve. The walking safaris allow wildlife enthusiasts to explore the smaller creatures as well as the trees and plants in the savannah on foot.
