Little Madikwe is a luxurious exclusive-use safari villa designed for families and small groups seeking privacy, comfort and a personalised bush experience. The beautifully appointed villa accommodates up to four guests, with the option of adding an extra bed in one of the bedrooms for a family of five. Children of all ages are warmly welcomed.

For larger groups, Little Madikwe can be expanded into a fully private camp by reserving the nearby Main Lodge suites (numbers 9 and 10). These suites are located adjacent to the villa and allow the camp to accommodate up to eight guests, making it ideal for families or small groups travelling together.

The villa offers the ultimate level of exclusivity, including a private game-drive vehicle with a field guide and tracker, a personal chef, and a dedicated villa attendant. Guests enjoy the freedom to set their own safari and dining schedules, creating a truly personalised safari experience.

Location

Located at Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge, Little Madikwe sits in the heart of the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North West Province. The lodge is approximately 4.5 hours’ drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, with the final stretch taking guests through the reserve itself.

Bordering Botswana, Madikwe Game Reserve spans 75,000 hectares, making it the fifth-largest game reserve in South Africa. The reserve’s diverse vegetation supports an abundance of wildlife, while its varied terrain — from open plains and woodlands to dramatic rocky outcrops known as inselbergs — provides exceptional game-viewing opportunities.
