Winter Safari Experience

Between April and September, the bushveld enters its cool, dry season. Days are mild and golden, mornings crisp and clear. Sparse vegetation reveals uninterrupted wildlife sightings, while the landscape shifts through subtle tones of amber and russet.

Early rising is richly rewarded. As the sun edges above the horizon, hippos snort from the river and lions complete the final movements of their nocturnal hunts.

Game Drives

Game drives are led by passionate, highly skilled rangers and trackers whose combined experience spans more than 350 years. With over 16,000 hectares of wilderness to explore, no two drives are ever alike.

Trackers perch at the front of the Land Rover, scanning for fresh tracks, while rangers navigate ravines and dense thickets with remarkable precision. Along the way, they share rich storytelling and deep ecological insight, transforming each sighting into a meaningful encounter.

The safari tradition has evolved from its origins as a hunting pursuit. Today, rifles have given way to cameras, and the only “shooting” is photographic. Rangers specialise in positioning vehicles for optimal lighting and angles, offering guidance to help you capture extraordinary images of wildlife and landscapes.

Many rangers and trackers grew up in this region, fostering an intuitive understanding of the terrain, flora, and animal behaviour. With two Lead Trackers on the team, the guiding experience is truly world-class.
