Perched among the soaring Leadwood trees, Tree Camp is a serene haven of understated elegance. This lodge celebrates more than 40 years of connection with the free-roaming leopards that grace Londolozi, offering guests an intimate encounter with Africa’s most elusive predator.

Afternoons are spent leisurely on the Tree Camp deck, champagne in hand, as elephants meander along the Sand River below. As evening falls, the camp is bathed in the warm glow of countless lanterns, alive with laughter, conversation, and the gentle rhythm of the bush.

Every element — from the private swimming pools and tranquil contemplation decks (salas) to the Ralph Lauren-inspired interiors, plaited leather beds, sumptuous leather sofas, and rich fabrics, embodies a refined interpretation of Africa’s natural elegance. Tree Camp is, in essence, a celebration of leopards, Leadwoods, and lantern-lit nights.  Tree Camp welcomes only guests aged 16 and above, unless the entire camp is booked exclusively.

Location & Wildlife

Situated along the Sand River in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Tree Camp is part of the Greater Limpopo Transfrontier Park, a vast 6-million-acre wilderness that connects seamlessly to the iconic Kruger National Park. Animals roam freely across this immense landscape, offering extraordinary game viewing and an immersive wilderness experience.

Londolozi is home to breeding herds of elephant and buffalo, significant concentrations of lions and white rhino, and — above all — the leopards that have made the reserve globally renowned. Over four decades, a unique bond has been nurtured between our rangers, trackers, and generations of wild leopards, resulting in frequent, intimate sightings that guests consistently describe as life-defining experiences.

Dining at Tree Camp

Exceptional cuisine is integral to the Londolozi experience, enhancing every moment of your safari. Days begin with homemade treats enjoyed on your morning game drive in pursuit of Africa’s finest wildlife. On returning to the lodge, a hearty breakfast is served, followed by leisurely, al fresco lunches under the canopy.

Afternoons include indulgent high teas and sundowner refreshments, the perfect prelude to an evening game drive. Afterward, guests may enjoy a traditional fireside banquet or opt for a private dinner, soaking in the serenity of the bush.
