Maqueda Lodge set within the Marloth Park Conservancy which shares a 32 km border with the Kruger National Park on the southern side, the Crocodile River forms the boundary between the Conservancy and the Kruger Park.

The Maqueda Lodge is in a nature reserve bordering the Kruger National Park of South Africa's scenic Mpumalanga province. The lodge is only a few meters walking distances from the Kruger National Park, and it takes about 15 minutes driving to reach the Crocodile Bridge Gate.

The lodge is family run and famous for its delicious cuisine, personal and friendly service, comfortable accommodation and the variety of guided activities on offer which include wildlife viewing and sightseeing tours.

The lodge features six en-suite guest rooms, including the honeymoon room, which is surrounded by outdoor decks. Two of the places are ideal for families who wish to share their room with children.

The cosy reading room and the indoor and outdoor lounges at the lodge provide visitors with the chance to relax. A refreshing swim can be enjoyed on one of the two splash pools which are surrounded by nature making for a beautiful setting. The lodge's mouthwatering breakfast is usually served on the upper deck which has a treehouse feel, serenaded by the chirping songs of birds as background music.

Guests enjoy thrilling safari drives in open 4x4 vehicles with a professional guide through the Kruger National Park. The early morning safari drives depart at around 5 am, which is the best time for wildlife viewing. Breakfast is served during the safari and lunch and is enjoyed at of the Kruger Park's rest camps.

The four hour morning walking safari is a favourite activity allowing travellers to experience wildlife as well as trees, plants and insects. During the guided walk in the Marloth Park, the guides pass on their extensive knowledge of the region's fauna and flora.

During the full day Panorama Route, travellers visit the area's beautiful attractions which include sites like Lone Creek Falls, Mac Mac Falls, Pilgrim's Rest, Blyde River Canyon, 3 Rondawels, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window.
