Meno a Kwena tented camp features nine, classic tents, which nestle on a 100-foot high clifftop overlooking the river.
Meno a Kwena was originally used by Southern Africa’s legendary explorers. With a few details added and changed, this camp reflects a refreshingly and stylishly simple ambience.
A hidden safari gem set on a rocky clifftop above the Boteti River near the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park of Botswana, Southern Africa.
The classically-styled tents offer locally-woven fabrics which are beautifully mixed with colonial-style furniture. Guests enjoy the comfort of fully equipped en-suite bathrooms.
Guests travelling with kids can be accommodated in the Family Tents which are inter-leading tents. Wildlife can be admired from the comfort of the Luxury Tent with herds of majestic elephants and dazzles of nomadic zebra passing by.
The canvas lounge and dining tents offer a wonderful place to relax and socialize. These areas are decorated with old-world artefacts, the name of 'Meno a Kwena' translating to “teeth of the crocodile.” The swimming pool offers visitors a great way to refresh in between safari drives and wildlife activities.
Set on the western boundary of the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park (MPNP), overlooking the Boteti River, the area in which the camp is located attracts a rich array of game and a procession of migratory wanderers. More than 30,000 zebra and wildebeest migrate across the Makgadikgadi Pans making for an amazing wildlife spectacle.
A great variety of activities await safari enthusiasts at the Meno o Kwena Camp which include guided walks with the San bushmen, day trips to the Makgadikgadi Pans, wildlife viewing boat trips to mention but a few.
