Monwana Game Lodge Thornybush thrilling early morning and the afternoon safari drives are accompanied by professional game rangers and trackers.

In between safari drives, Monwana guests may observe herds of impala pass by the private decks of the well-appointed chalets. The lodge four suites consist of two Family Suites, one Luxury King Suite and one beautiful Honeymoon Suite. The Honeymoon Suite provides a private deck which overlooks the rugged bushveld or the waterhole.

The Safari Lodge is in proximity to the Kruger Park, the Thornybush Nature Reserve is home to about 12 000 hectares of bird and game territory. The spacious, air-conditioned Monwana Family Suites accommodate a total of four guests in comfort. The wooden outdoor viewing deck invites for a relaxing time. 

The Deluxe Honeymoon Suite offers breathtaking views from the bedroom while the open-plan bathroom features a large sunken bath. Enjoy lovely vistas over the Savannah from this private bathroom.

At the outdoor boma, three-course table d'hote dinners, as well as traditional braais, are served which are paired with an excellent choice of South African wines. Dine under the African night sky and enjoy world-class hospitality with attention to detail. High tea is served in the Gazebo which is an open-air thatched lounge, a venue from which to observe the active waterhole.

South African wildlife found here include elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions, leopards, different species of antelope, birds and much more. They share a wealth of information with guests about the local wildlife and its flora and fauna. The late afternoon safari starts at the lodge with High Tea and takes visitors into the darkness after the sunsets. This way the seldom seen nocturnal animals can be spotted with torches as they get out of their sheltered hideouts to eat and drink.
