Mowani Mountain Camp is nestled within the giant boulders of this scenic region affording striking views over the ancient landscape.
The Camp is located within the Twyfelfontein Conservancy of Namibia. Convenient access is gained from Windhoek to the Mowani Camp, a six-hour drive on tarred roads. The last 105 kilometres is on a well-maintained sand road.
Being the winner of an architectural eco-design award in Germany, the organic nature of its design combined with the peace and tranquillity make it a pure 'heaven on earth'. This camp features a total of 15 thatched accommodation units which include Standard Rooms, Superior Rooms, a Luxury Room as well as a Mountain Suite.
The Mowani Standard Rooms feature Twin beds which can be changed to King beds if requested. The Luxury Room offers one double bed, en-suite bathroom facilities as well as its private deck overlooking the valley. The thatched Mini-Suite provides an air-conditioned lounge, a satellite television, and a double room with en-suite bathroom.
The thatched Mountain Suite offers butler service while featuring a lounge equipped with climate control, television and Hifi system, in-room dining and mini-bar, a double room with en-suite bathroom as well as an open-air bath and shower with a view.
Activities at Mowani include guided drives nature in search of the unique desert elephant. The camp also provides excursions to the Twyfelfontein rock engravings. The evenings are rounded off with the well-liked signature sundowners on the rock overlooking the Ocher valley.
