Set within the Lower Zambezi National Park, Musesenji River Camp enjoys an extraordinary position on the banks of the Zambezi River where it meets the Musesenji River. Situated at the far eastern end of the park, it is the most remote camp in the Lower Zambezi, offering an intimate, exclusive escape far removed from any crowds.

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of five luxury safari tents plus one spacious family tent. Standard tents offer approximately 55m² of interior space with an additional 30m² of private decking, totalling around 85m². The family unit is more expansive, with each bedroom measuring 37m² and a shared lounge of 31m², creating a combined internal area of 105m² and an overall footprint of approximately 155m² including a 50m² deck. Every tent features its own private plunge pool, enhancing the sense of seclusion and comfort.

The camp accommodates a maximum of 14 guests, ensuring a highly personalised safari experience.

Guests can enjoy a wide range of activities, including morning and evening game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, boat cruises and fishing on the Zambezi, guided walking safaris with professional guides and DNPW scouts, and exceptional birding along the river. Cultural visits to nearby communities are available on request, as well as in-room spa and wellness treatments.

Facilities

Facilities at the camp include a central lounge, bar and restaurant area positioned to take in sweeping river views, complemented by generous outdoor seating and dining spaces. Additional amenities include à la carte dining, a curated library and curio shop, a gym, and a firepit overlooking the river for evening gatherings.

Access to the Lodge

Access is via daily scheduled charter flights from Lusaka to Kulefu Airstrip (approximately 35 minutes) with KDZ Plane, followed by a short 10-minute game drive or boat transfer to camp. Alternatively, seasonal flights operate from Lusaka to Jeki Airstrip with Proflight Zambia (May to 15 November), followed by a scenic two-hour game drive to the lodge.
