The Ngare Camp, which forms part of the exclusive Alex Walker's Safari Group, is located in the wildlife-rich Mara North Conservancy of Kenya, East Africa.

Translated from the Masai language as 'by the river', Ngare Serian Tented Camp lies on the magnificent banks of the Mara River offering travellers are private and cosy safari destination.

The only way of access to the camp is on foot over a narrow rope bridge where the adventure begins. The preferred airstrip for convenient and easy access is Mara North. With only four tents, this camp is ideal for small groups of friends or families travelling together. This tented camp is only one of eleven 11 member camps in the Mara North Conservancy. The four luxury tents are built on hardwood deckings above the Mara River providing scenic views over the Oloololo Escarpment.

The tents feature adjoining bush bathrooms where cold and hot running water as well as a flush toilet and shower are available. The unique bathtubs are built into the outdoor decks. The 24hr electricity is made of a combination of solar and generator. The accommodation is set along the riverbank, furnished in style with lovely four-poster beds and open bathrooms which provide views of pods of hippo.

Ideally located to take full advantage of the 1,500 acres of exclusive conservation area within the Mara North Conservancy, Ngare Serian offers a wonderful place from which to explore the untamed African wildlife in its natural habitat. A short stroll away from the camp, one can find ‘The Nest’. This fabulous tree house offers a sleep-out place or a perfect venue for a picnic.
