The Maasai name Serengit, meaning “endless plains”, perfectly captures the vastness of Tanzania’s legendary Serengeti. Today, this iconic wilderness is celebrated worldwide for its extraordinary landscapes and remarkable concentration of wildlife.

Set within the heart of the 15,000 square km Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, Nimali Serengeti provides an exceptional base for exploring the region. Its central location places many of the park’s prime wildlife areas within easy reach, offering superb game viewing throughout the year.

Location

Nimali Serengeti occupies a spectacular new setting near Makoma Hill, overlooking expansive plains scattered with ancient kopjes. The area offers year-round wildlife encounters, from large herds of elephant and buffalo to abundant plains game and impressive sightings of Africa’s great predators.

The lodge also lies along a significant route of the annual wildebeest migration, with herds passing through the region between April and June and again from October to December.

Accommodation

Nimali Serengeti features 12 stylish tented suites, including two connected suites that are ideal for families. Each accommodation offers a private verandah and an en-suite bathroom with both a bathtub and outdoor shower.

Between safari adventures, guests can relax in the central lounge, enjoy delicious meals in the dining area or cool off on the pool deck.

Inspired by the movement and drama of the Great Migration, the interiors combine contemporary design with organic textures and a palette of natural skin and bone tones.
