The Nkambeni safari camp lies inside the wildlife-rich Kruger Park, just a few kilometers to the west of the Pretoriuskop Rest Camp in South Africa.
The construction of the Nkambeni Safari Camp conforms to the highest standards of small impact Eco-friendly criteria while luxury and comfort are provided to guests during their stay at this unique Kruger Park Lodge.
At the Tented Lodge, where the pristine wilderness areas surrounding the camp are strongly protected, the tented suites were built to guarantee a minimum impact on the natural habitat. This Lodge consists of 150 beautifully appointed luxury timber and tented canvas suites that are on wooden stilts.
With the entrance gate to the Nkambeni Tented Lodge being the Numbi Gate of the Kruger National Park, the Lodge is 24.3 km away from Hazyview, which is the nearest town and 54 km from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) in Nelspruit.
Guests are invited to feel the pulse of Africa. The Marimba band offers guests Gumboot and traditional Shangaan dancing and drum beat evenings on Fridays and Saturdays.
Join the training team for a short lecture on tracks and signs of the wild. The Lodge's experienced trainers teach guests the skills needed to monitor and identify footprints which can be a useful ability when on safari in the Kruger National Park.
It is a partnership between the Rural Community and Private Capital. Guests have the opportunity to accompany the volunteers on a day tour of the Local Community and witness their contribution to Africa on a one to one basis. The Community Tour takes guests to the George School where one can observe the feeding schemes and the nutrient drink production plant.
After a brief tour of the Community, one may wish to take the opportunity of getting down and dirty by assisting in the Community Organic Farming Project. This project is the world first in concept and design and enjoys the direct support and participation of the South African Government. Nkambeni lodge features one conference venue which can accommodate a maximum of 100 delegates.
