The Nkelenga Tented Camp nestles in the wildlife-rich Thornybush Private Game Reserve of South Africa's Limpopo Province.

Thornybush Private Game Reserve self-catering safari camp is booked on an exclusive basis and can accommodate up to ten guests in its four tents.

Suitable for families travelling with children as well as small groups of friends, this camp is equipped with kitchen facilities to prepare own meals including ample of freezer and fridge storage. Guests enjoy having their open Land Cruiser available for the wildlife viewing activities. The game rangers and trackers as well as housekeepers area open to in-house guests.

Being able to accommodate up to ten guests, the welcoming and air-conditioned main house at the camp, which features a loft, is ideal for children. The three en-suite safari tents create an atmosphere of the colonial era of exploration. The tents are well equipped and provide en-suite bathrooms.

A beautiful outdoor playground, this camp features an outdoor swimming pool. The kitchen offers equipment for self-catering including a fridge and freezer. Visitors explore the untamed African bushveld on guided safari drives in the open Land Cruisers as well as on the adventurous walking safaris. Being home to a great abundance of species, guests have a chance to encounter 147 mammals including the 'Big Five', 114 reptiles, 507 birds, 49 fish, 34 amphibians and 336 trees in the Thornybush Private Nature Reserve.

As the reserve is characterised by open savannahs, wildlife viewing is excellent here making for memorable wildlife encounters. The best time for safaris is early in the mornings during sunrise and then again late in the afternoon. The afternoon safari drives lead into the sunset making wildlife viewing a special event with torch lights.
