Nxamaseri Island Lodge - Okavango Panhandle and Tsodilo Hills
Nxamaseri Island Lodge is based on a private island within the permanent waters of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. This small, exclusive location offers an intimate connection with one of Africa’s most remarkable ecosystems. The site also reflects the vibrancy of the indigenous culture and the unique beauty of the delta’s permanent swamp.
The Location
The location along the Nxamaseri Channel was chosen for its combination of natural beauty and seclusion. The private island provides panoramic views of the delta’s waterways, with abundant birdlife and wildlife visible from multiple vantage points. It is easily accessible by road, making it a convenient stop for self-drive travelers exploring Botswana or for those traveling through Namibia to Victoria Falls, offering a striking contrast to desert landscapes.
Accommodation
Nxamaseri Island Lodge accommodates up to eight guests in eight private chalets beneath the forest canopy. Each chalet is positioned on its own teak deck and opens to a seating area with a private deck, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. Bedrooms are designed for comfort, and thoughtful touches such as hot water bottles provide added warmth during cooler evenings. Safes are available in each room, with additional storage at reception for valuables.
