The Porini Mara Tented Camp is within Kenya's Ol Kinyei Conservancy in proximity to the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy. The vast open plains of the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, which comprises 18 700 acres of untamed wilderness, is home to many bird species and big cats. It is characterised by forests, rivers and stunning views make for an unforgettable safari setting.

Set under yellow-barked Acacia trees along the banks of the Laetoli, Porini camp only features six Safari Tents. Each of the tents offers comfortable furnishings as well as en-suite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets.

Activities

Thrilling safari drives during the morning, evening and the night within the Ol Kinyei Conservancy offers a splendid insight into the regions untamed African wildlife. Also, safari drives into the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy are also available. An experience not to be missed is the escorted walking safaris which are accompanied by Maasai game rangers.

Itinerary for a three day/ 2-night safari stays

The Porini Mara Camp can ideally be combined with other Porini Camps in Kenya to make for a tailor-made safari journey. Transfers and flights to connect the international airport as well we the lodges can also be booked.

Day 1:

At 10 am take flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Mara. Porini Mara Camp staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to camp. After lunch takes the afternoon safari drive, stopping at a scenic point for a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at lodge.

Day 2:

After an early breakfast, take a safari drive into the Masai Mara National Reserve in search of the Big Five. Return to camp in the late afternoon, after a picnic lunch in the Reserve. Later, head out on an evening safari drive within Ol Kinyei Conservancy – stopping at a viewpoint for a sundowner. Continue on a night safari drive looking for nocturnal animals. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 3:

Enjoy an early morning walk in the Conservancy escorted by Maasai warriors and return for breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip and fly back to Nairobi (arriving around 12.15pm).
