The Raptor Retreat Safari lodge lies 40km north of Hoedspruit and only a 4km safari drive away from the banks of the river. The lodge is located in the Balule Parsons Nature Reserve within the Mopani region of South Africa's Limpopo Province.

This Raptor Nature Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park and the access to the Kruger Park gates can easily be reached. This region is known for its abundance of wildlife, its scenic mountains, indigenous forests and cascading waterfalls. 

The Raptor Retreat offers luxurious accommodation and excellent service if offered to its guests combined with warm hospitality. The Raptor Retreat Safari Lodge features several different lodges with various accommodation options ranging from Two-bedroom Chalets to lodge-style rooms and luxury tents.

Guests may embark on adventurous safari drives twice a day. One early in the morning and one late in the afternoon. Safaris take place in the 11 000 ha 'Big Five' reserve. Bush Walks are available on request and are offered in the mornings only. Morning and afternoon safari drives include refreshments and snacks.

Guests may relax and socialize on the main deck of the lodge which overlooks the open plain where herds graze and drink at the water hole and where predators wait for an opportunity.

The Buffalo Lodge offers spacious air-conditioned rooms with high thatched ceilings and a king-size bed. The sliding doors open onto a private deck with double recliners.

The Squirrel Lodge is a chic safari tent which blends romantic charm with modern decadence. Set in the bush, guests enjoy privacy and beautiful views of unspoilt nature.
