The Rhino Post Safari Lodge nestles in the southern area of a 12,000 hectare private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park of South Africa. This wildlife concession shares a 15km unfenced boundary with the game rich Sabi Sabi and Mala Mala game reserves.
A great abundance of wildlife move freely between these two reserves making it one of the most pristine safari destinations on the African continent.Daily flights between the cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town to the Skukuza Airport make this lodge in the Kruger National Park easily accessible.
The Lodge was constructed using natural materials of wood, stone, thatch as well as canvas to create a wonderful and authentic bush ambiance without any permanent structures. Each of the lodge's Luxury Suites are beautifully decorated featuring a spacious bedroom from where amazing views of the riverbed can be enjoyed. These views can also be admired from the bathroom, outdoor shower and the decked patio.
After the early morning game drive and a delicious breakfast, guests may enjoy a refreshing swim in the lodge's outdoor swimming pool. Time for relaxation can be found on the shaded patio where abundant wildlife can be watched at the waterhole.
This wildlife concession in the Kruger National Park of South Africa is well known as an excellent game viewing destination where fantastic and close encounters with the 'Big Five' and other animals can be expected.
Located on the banks of the Mutlumuvi riverbed, the Lodge is the “base” lodge from where guests have the opportunity to travel to the Plains Camp for the thrilling walking safaris. From here safari enthusiasts also have the chance to sleep under the stars at one of the lodge's unique Sleepouts.
An unrivaled wilderness experience can be included during a stay at this magnificent game lodge in the Kruger Park. The Lodge & Rhino Walking Safaris offer Sleep Outs which must be arranged during the reservation process. After being shown around the structure, guests choose their platforms and the guide will light a cooking fire.
The Sleep Out platforms overlook a magnificent waterhole where the sunset can be admired whilst sipping a refreshing sun downer. While the guide prepares a traditional South African braai on an open fire, guests may relax and enjoy the sounds and senses of the African Bush as the night sets in.
After dinner guests retire to their individual platform and enjoy sleeping under the star studded sky. The rumble of an elephant passing by or the roar of a lion at the nearby waterhole, are the only noises which might disturb guests in this peaceful bushveld.
