Travellers are met at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport and taken to the Giraffe Manor Hotel which is located in the leafy Nairobi suburb of Langata. During a one night stay at The Giraffe Manor guests have the unique opportunity to interact and fee the estates wild Rothschild’s giraffes. A visit to the nearby Karen Blixen Museum as well as a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where one can meet orphaned elephant and rhinoceros is highly recommended.
After an unforgettable breakfast with Giraffes, guests are transferred to the Wilson Airport for their flight to the Maasai Mara. On arrival, travellers are taking to the Sala’s Camp, with a safari drive en-route. Exploring the wildlife rich Masai Mara on thrilling safari drives makes for an unbeatable wildlife experience. The safari drive are usually done in the early mornings and in the late afternoons when animals are most active. A bush lunch out can be arranged upon request.
After breakfast, guests are taken to the Keekorok airstrip for their flight to Migori. From Migori travellers will take a road transfer across the Kenya - Tanzania border to Tarime. From Tarime, one catches a flight to Ndutu in the Serengeti. For 3 nights, guests stay at the amazing Olakira Camp which nestles in the Southern Serengeti of Tanzania providing one of the most luxurious authentic safari experiences.
The annual Great Migration is a not-to-be-missed experience and the Serengeti National Park offers two main areas where it can be seen. The highly acclaimed Olakira Camp is separated into two camps, both of which are ideally located to follow the migration. Each year the camp moves from the Mara River to the plains of Ndutu, ensuring the optimum viewing opportunities.
In the morning, guests are driven about two hours to the Dunia Camp, arriving in time for lunch. Two nights are spent at this well-positioned camp in the South Central Serengeti which is a private and secluded luxury tented camp. Stylish and luxurious, the migration can be witnessed here during certain times of the year.
The exact departure time will be determined by the guest's international return flight time. Travellers are flown to Wilson Airport, followed by a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
