The Saguni Safari Lodge is located in Moremi East of the magnificent Okavango Delta in Botswana, Southern Africa. Set in an island of mature riparian trees, this lodge overlooks the Mbudi Lagoon in the wildlife-rich area of Khwai. The name Saguni can be translated as 'an area with an abundance of game and spectacular sights'.
This safari lodge in the Okavango Delta features only nine Forest Tents and eight Luxury River Tents. These Luxury Tens are custom-designed and built in harmony with the scenic island environment making for an unforgettable nature experience.
The River Tents are set right on the riverfront affording beautiful views over the Sable River. The lodge's Forest Tents nestle under the canopy of trees.
At the Saguni Safari Lodge in Botswana, the activities on offer involve nature, wildlife and the local culture making for an extraordinary experience. Travellers enjoy thrilling safari drives, open vehicle photographic safaris and walking safaris.
Besides the early morning and afternoon safari drives during which one enjoys close encounters with wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and giraffes, visitors also have the option to experience a night drive.
The Saguni Safari Lodge is situated in Moremi East within the Khwai Concession. The lodge can easily be accessed by road or with a charter flight. By road, the journey is 150kms from Maun and is an easy drive for a 4×4 vehicle. The nearby Khwai airstrip is 20 minutes from camp. This airstrip may be used by any charter company and we can assist with booking your itinerary. Most guests fly in from Maun, Kasane or other Okavango Delta camps.
