The Sango Safari Camp, is under the canopy of trees on the edge of the Khwai River.
It neighbours the local Sango village of the Khwai are and conveniently neighbours the Moremi Reserve. The camp is the ideal base to explore the natural surroundings home to the big five.
The Khwai safari camp takes its name from the Sango tribe who call Khwai Conservancy their home and they are owners of the lodge.
The lodge can hold a total of 12 guests in six en-suite Meru tents. The tents come with its open-air showers, the furniture has all been sourced and made in the area, and the guest will feel luxury & comfort in this rugged but magnificent setting.
Guest will have the opportunity to meet the locals and gain a first-hand insight into their culture and traditions for which Botswana is known.
The area is water-rich with the Khwai River running through the camp, and the vast amounts of wildlife that move through the area known as the Moremi & Khwai Conservancies are massive. The free movement animals combined with the experience of your trackers who will be by your side to make sure you get the safari of a lifetime.
The safari is done in open vehicle in the Moremi and Khwai concession area as well as guided bush hikes, and night drives. The reserve has both permanent water, seasonal floodplains, open savanna, forests which make for an incredibly rich habitat supports diversity and wealth of Animals, birds & reptiles rarely matched in northern Botswana.
All adventures are subject to the seasonal and weather conditions, walking and mokoro activities may be limited in the wet season.
