Its grassland valleys are home to grazing herds and many predators can be found here. Lake Nakuru in Kenya is a paradise for bird-watching enthusiasts as over 400 bird species have been recorded here.

The lake and its shores are home to many pink flamingos, a great variety of waders including avocet, while pelicans can also be admired here. Guests may enjoy self-driving safaris on the well-marked safari tracks around the lake and through the national park.

Guides to accompany the safaris are also available and can be pre-arranged. This National Park in Kenya is home to a Black Rhino Sanctuary which is highly endangered. The Baboon Cliff offers a great location for picnics and can easily be reached from the lodge.
