The Sarova Shaba Safari Lodge is situated in the arid northern region of Kenya in East Africa. It offers safari travellers a wildlife viewing destination in a natural oasis within the heart of the wildlife-rich Shaba Game Reserve.

This safari lodge is set 314 km away from Nairobi with a flight taking 45 minutes from the city of Nairobi to the Shaba or the Samburu airstrip. Sarova Shaba nestles along the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro River and is laid out around the springs which flow into the river.

Shaba lodge features 85 modern accommodation in chalet style, the rooms afford views of the Ewaso Nyiro River where wildlife can be observed. The private balconies offer a welcoming place for relaxation and for taking in the river and bushveld views.

With its vegetable and herb garden, guests at the Sarova Shaba Safari Lodge are treated for a culinary journey during their stay. Dining is a spectacular affair with various dining venues being available. The lodge's Surpelei Restaurant is raised on stilts from where stunning views of the lush gardens as well as the Ewaso Nyiro River can be admired. The Surpelei Restaurant offers buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The restaurant's delicious cuisine includes different flavours which include Pan-European, Pan-African, as well as Pan-Asian.

Safari drives through the Shaba National Reserve are exciting during the day and in the night. This game reserve is of particular importance to the history of Kenya's conservation. It was here where Joy Adamson's first hand-raised lion was released. Camel Safaris are a particular favourite for guests staying at Shaba.
