Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive in Kenya’s vibrant capital — a city that captures the diversity of the African continent. Nairobi serves as your gateway to the stunning wildernesses of Kenya and Tanzania.
Day 2 | Amboseli National Park – At the Foot of Kilimanjaro
Journey to Amboseli National Park, where vast savannas unfold beneath the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Renowned for its herds of elephants, Amboseli is also home to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and over 400 bird species. Conclude your day with a welcome dinner among fellow adventurers.
Day 3 | Amboseli National Park – A Full Day on Safari
Set out in open safari vehicles seating just six guests, ensuring every traveler enjoys a window seat. Watch elephants up close and track Cape buffalo, wildebeest, hippos, and hyenas across the plains. After lunch in camp, venture out again to discover more of East Africa’s abundant wildlife.
Day 4 | Tarangire National Park, Tanzania – Elephant Haven
Cross into Tanzania, pausing for lunch in Arusha before flying to Tarangire National Park. Known for its dramatic baobab trees and large elephant herds, Tarangire is a paradise for wildlife and bird enthusiasts alike. Settle into your luxurious lodge amid sweeping savannas.
Day 5 | Tarangire National Park – Game Drives & Culinary Discovery
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives through Tarangire’s wildlife-rich landscapes. Watch for impala, zebra, and perhaps a leopard resting high in a tree. Later, join a local chef for a cooking demonstration featuring Tanzanian dishes such as ugali, makande, and kachumbari.
Day 6 | Ngorongoro Crater – Design Your Day
Gain insight into Tanzanian life with a visit to a local village and market before heading to your lodge near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After lunch, choose your afternoon experience:
Walk with a Maasai Healer, discovering the uses of local medicinal plants.
Cycle through village back roads, seeing daily life up close.

Day 7 | Ngorongoro Crater – A Lost World of Wildlife
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With nearly 2,000-foot-high walls enclosing a fertile ecosystem, the crater provides sanctuary for lions, elephants, gazelles, and more — a place where you might spot the entire Big Five in one day. Enjoy a picnic lunch amid this “Lost World” of wildlife.
Day 8 | Serengeti National Park – The Great Migration Begins
Fly to the legendary Serengeti, whose sweeping plains host one of nature’s greatest dramas: the annual Great Migration. Over the next three days, immerse yourself in the rhythms of this untamed wilderness.
Day 9 | Serengeti National Park – The Circle of Life
Twice-daily game drives bring you face-to-face with the Serengeti’s astonishing biodiversity — lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, and immense herds of antelope and buffalo. Return to your lodge for an evening of relaxation and storytelling by the fire.
Day 10 | Serengeti National Park – Aerial Adventure (Optional)
Continue your exploration of the Serengeti, perhaps beginning your day with an optional hot-air balloon safari (additional cost), offering breathtaking views of the sun rising over the golden plains.
Day 11 | Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya – Jewel of Conservation
Fly to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s crown jewel and a haven for wildlife year-round. This is the land of big cats, vast herds, and breathtaking river crossings. Settle into your luxury lodge on the Mara River before an afternoon game drive capped by sundowners in the bush.
Day 12 | Maasai Mara Game Reserve – A Day on the Plains

Day 14 | Depart Nairobi, Kenya
