Thornybush Waterside Lodge is designed to blend in with the surrounding, natural habitat with its high abundance of magnificent trees and manicured gardens, the camp offers guests relaxation in the heart of the wilderness. 

The lodge is in a beautiful location within the big-five reserve. Adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park, breathtaking views can be admired from the lodge across the tranquil lake and the untamed African bushveld.

The size of the lodge is suitable for individual couples, families travelling with children as well as smaller groups. Waterside has twenty air-conditioned, thatched chalets accommodate guests in comfort and luxury on the reserve.

Tastefully decorated, the cottages feature convenient amenities and facilities to ensure a most pleasant safari stay. Each of the suites provides an en-suite bathroom with indoor shower as well as a private deck. Two of the chalets share an inter-leading door which is ideal for families who travel with children.

The outdoor swimming pool invites for refreshing swims while different African dinners are served at the outdoor boma. A sixty seater conference centre is available for conference delegates. The conference venue overlooks the lake, making for a magnificent location for strategic business getaways.

Fantastic wildlife viewing excursions are available for guests which include the early morning safari drives and the late afternoon safaris through the Thornybush Game Reserve. The professional game rangers and trackers share their wealth of information about South Africa's magnificent wildlife as well as its trees and plants.

An unusual wildlife activity at the lodge are the traditional Walking Safaris during which visitors learn about the smaller animals which live here.
