Guests seeking privacy and tranquillity may visit the Umlani Bushcamp tree house which lies about 2.7 km away from the camp. Overlooking a dam, guests may enjoy the purest nature around them for an hour or two comforted with blankets and big pillows as well as drinks on hand. Pre-dinner drinks are served in the evening in the African style boma around the fire which is followed by the lodge's delicious meals served in the candlelit dining venue.
The reserve's wealth of birdlife, flora, fauna as well as cultural heritage makes it a unique destination. Guests enjoy two safari drives a day which is accompanied by professional game rangers in open Land Rovers. Departing during dawn as the sun rises in the bushveld, guests have the chance to encounter the reserve's untamed wildlife in their natural habitat.
The lodge's night drive leaves during the late afternoon. Optional morning bush walks offer clients a way to explore on foot being able to learn about the smaller creatures which are often ignored from the vehicles.
