The Okavango Delta of Botswana
In northern Botswana bordering on Namibia, the Okavango is a unique natural phenomenon which flows more than a Thousand kilometres from Northern Angola & Zambia. This unique river disappears beneath the bushveld of Botswana, creating a vibrant marshland in the middle of Botswana.
The constant state of flux, expanding and contracting according to the rain falls. While some parts of the Delta remain permanently flooded, others only experience high water levels from May to September, when rain waters from Angola reach the outer stretches of the Okavango.
