The andBeyond Xaranna Okavango Delta lodge nestles in a private wilderness concession measuring over 25 Thousand hectares.
The andBeyond lodge is to the south-east of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve in the centre of Botswana's Okavango. Famous for its plentiful wildlife and waterways, the delta is home to many aquatic and land species.
The Xaranna camp is in the heart of crystal clear waters; the Camp offers visitors an exceptional water experience. With scenic views opening up onto a permanent lagoon, this remote and tranquil camp combines the best of what the area has to offer.
Guests have the opportunity to glide silently on a mokoro, a dugout canoe to explore the mosaic of islands which nestles among a labyrinth of channels. This Camp lies in the canals and lagoons of the southern part of the delta which periodically gets water.
The tents look out onto the lush green African wilderness filled sounds of nature going about her business. The en-suite bathroom in the luxury tent at camp promises the luxury of a deep, warm bath while a refreshing shower waits for either indoors or in nature. Guests may watch the waters of the lagoon from the cooling comfort of their private pool.
Xaranna Guests may relax and get comfortable in the guest areas which look out onto the classic silhouettes. Socialising in the spacious games area or enjoying the tranquillity of the camp's secluded reading spots are appreciated by guests. Gourmet meals are served in the open dining room or the romantic African setting around a fire under a star-studded sky in the boma.
The Xaranna safari drives, guests explore the wildlife encircling the Camp on early morning and late afternoon safari drives in a safari vehicle which is accompanied by an armed guide and tracker.
During the bush hikes, travellers take a comfortable walk-in & around the Camp to take in the sights, smells and sounds of the Delta, accompanied by the outfitted guide. River cruises in an electrically powered mokoro allow guests to explore the waterways by boat.
In northern Botswana bordering on Namibia, the Okavango is a unique natural phenomenon which flows more than a thousand kilometres from Northern Angola & Zambia. This unique river disappears beneath the bushveld of Botswana, creating a vibrant marshland in the middle of Botswana.
The constant movement of water depending on season changes the landscape daily. Water levels are normally at a peak from May to September.
