Situated on the banks of the Chobe River, the lodge is conveniently located just an hour's transfer from both Victoria Falls and Livingstone, making it an ideal destination for a memorable fishing holiday or African adventure.

Surrounded by pristine waterways, islands, and floodplains, Ichingo combines exceptional hospitality with outstanding fishing, abundant wildlife, and breathtaking scenery.

World-Class Tiger Fishing

The Eastern Caprivi is renowned as one of Southern Africa's finest freshwater fishing destinations. Its vast floodplains, winding channels, and diverse river systems provide ideal conditions for both novice and experienced anglers.

The legendary Tigerfish is the region's ultimate prize, famous for its explosive strikes, incredible speed, and powerful fight, with specimens reaching up to 20 pounds. Anglers can also target Nembwe, several species of bream, African pike, catfish, and the sought-after Zambezi Yellowfish.

Ichingo Chobe River Lodge is recognised for its experienced fishing guides and excellent fleet of well-equipped boats, including specialised jet boats that provide access to shallow rapids even during periods of low water.

Guests enjoy access to more than 100 kilometres of exceptional fishing waters, including the winding Kasai Channel, the Chobe River, Mambova Rapids, secluded backwaters, and countless hidden fishing hotspots.

Fishing is productive throughout the year. Seasonal flooding during January and February replenishes the river system with juvenile fish, creating excellent feeding conditions for Tigerfish as waters begin to recede. These natural cycles often produce spectacular Tigerfish feeding frenzies during the cooler winter months.
