Chisomo Bush Lodge is a 4-star safari lodge, located in the Karongwe Private Game Reserve in South Africa's Limpopo Province. It is approximately a 4.5 hours drive away from Johannesburg and roughly an hour from the Hoedspruit airport. Guests are accommodated in luxuriously appointed safari tents overlooking a riverbed and are well looked after by the staff, with warm hospitality and tasty pan-African cuisine.
Chisomo Guests enjoy early morning and late afternoon safaris in open 4×4 safari vehicles conducted by experienced guides and trackers. During the day, guests can relax at the pool or retire to one of the beautifully decorated lounges.
Situated under the shade of towering Tamboti and Apple Leaf Jackalberry trees, this safari camp features 13 luxuriously decorated tented suites, three twin tents and ten double tents, draped in white linen. Built on stilts, overlooking the magnificent view of the Makuta River, guests often have the opportunity to see the Big 5 from their decks.

Traversing over the 9000 hectares of the African bushveld, Chisomo is home to the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino, and Elephant) as well as a wealth of other creatures. The open safari vehicles are perfect for wildlife viewing, letting one feel close to nature, and the wildlife encountered.
The magnificent wildlife viewing makes for excellent photographic opportunities, enjoy the view of the Lowveld from a koppie amid the lush vegetation, huge variety of trees and over 365 different bird species. Safari drives are conducted by qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers, who share their vast experience of the African Bush and a chance to view Cheetah on foot.
